Kukje Gallery - Seoul

Just outside the Gyeongbokgung Palace walls, lies a strip of striking, concrete-and-glass buildings that helped propel Korean art onto the global stage.

Here you will find Kukje Gallery, where visitors are likely to see cutting-edge Western talents, such as Damien Hirst, Cy Twombly, Ed Ruscha as well as Korean installations and video art.

Kukje Galley has been committed to presenting the work of significant Korean and international contemporary artists to the public since 1982 and has established itself as a leading venue for international exhibits, attracting enthusiastic responses from both the public and the media. The gallery is well-known for its collaborations between artists, galleries, and art dealers around the world and nurturing upcoming artists by sponsoring their artwork and giving them international exposure.

Local Tip!

Downstairs café at the Kukje Gallery is a great spot for a green-tea latte and a macaroon or a sandwich.
